Music
Chris Anderson studied composition at Hampshire College, continuing this focus in 1990 in a post graduate program at USC. In 1997, Anderson published his first symphony, entitled requiem: a tapestry. Based on the Names Project Quilt, its 13 distinct movements interweave thematic material; like the segments of the Quilt, they combine to form a cohesive picture. Performances scheduled in 1999 will benefit AIDS research and health care. His emotionally provocative composing lends itself to film scoring, where he has completed 15 feature films, TV specials on each major network, and episodic television. Treasure Island marks his second showing at Sundance, and his third trip to Park City. (Slamdance screened the Janeane Garafolo feature Sweethearts as their 1997 closing film).
